Caterings.co.za is published by the team behind CaterEra — a Gauteng-based supplier of commercial catering equipment (cooking, food preparation, butchery, refrigeration and fun food equipment) delivering across South Africa. We state this prominently because the fastest way to destroy trust in advice is to hide who wrote it.
What that relationship means in practice: when a quote request on this site turns into a sale, the sale happens at CaterEra. What it does not mean: no paid placement on this site, no advertising, no affiliate links, and no invented weaknesses in competitors.
How we research
- Primary sources only. Supplier facts — ranges, contact details, delivery and payment terms, funding programmes — come from each supplier's own public website or direct communication with the supplier.
- Everything is dated. Prices and terms carry the date they were checked. Suppliers change both without notice, so we never present an undated figure as current.
- No rankings for sale. Comparison pages are organised for reading, not as "best-to-worst" lists. Placement is not for sale and does not imply endorsement.
- Fair by default. Every supplier profile includes genuine strengths, and competitors are named plainly — comparative information is only useful when it is complete.
- South African context. Guides address local realities: municipal health registration, R638 hygiene requirements, power supply constraints, delivery logistics and payment fraud risks.
